4G internet in jammu: The REAL TRUTH!

 

One year has been passed since the High-speed internet was snapped in Jammu and kashmir UT due to abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A. Here, I will talk about 4g internet in jammu only because we can understand if Government says that "Due to security reasons, we cannot start 4g". But this valid only in Kashmir, where Militancy rate is very high. But what about 4g internet in Jammu? Is there any militancy in Jammu? So today, I will talk about the real truth of 4g internet in jammu. So, Stay tuned.

One update about 4g internet, Government has restored 4g internet in Udhampur district of Jammu and Ganderbal district of Kashmir which is good news. At least, Process of restoring 4g has been started now which is good thing. Now, let's get into this.

5th AUGUST, 2019

 On this day, The special status of J&K was snapped by government. Yes, Abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. In this Special Article, No person can buy land in J&K who is not a resident of J&K but any person from J&K can buy land in any state. In short, You must have a state subject of J&K to buy any land in Jammu & Kashmir.

 But government not just snapped this special status but also snapped internet from the people of j&k. Yes, I am not kidding. When government announced the Abrogation of Articles, Suddenly Internet also stopped. Everyone started calling their friends =, relatives that what's wrong with the Internet. And then we got to know that Government has snapped internet too.

LIFE OF PEOPLE WITHOUT INTERNET

 Now, Everyone finally realized that Internet is no more! First week without internet was like, You are living without water. I think i don't need to tell you what it feels when there is no internet. Then gradually, people started living without internet, and there was one time when really we forget about internet. The luckiest and happiest persons were those who have wifi's in their houses. They were in the heaven. 

 But as we all know, We are Indians, Jugaad is in our Blood. So, people started hacking wifi's. People who don't have WPA security in their wifi were easily hacked by an Application called WPA WPS TESTER. And Really that app was crazy! I saw people standing outside some shops, or some building and they hack their wifi and then use internet. Cyber Cafe's started their good business. They started charging for using internet. Different rates for different durations. In short, Life was becoming tough day by day. Sometimes students have to download notes from internet or some students used to study online on youtube. Those people really suffered a lot. Now scenario was like, we saw more people standing outside the cyber cafe than Wine shops. LoL.. 

 Then, Government announced that they are starting 2g internet, we can only access white listed sites. No social media! No youtube! Nothing! Let me remind you, We are Indians, Jugaad is in our Blood. Then People started using VPN's, they change the country using those vpn's and start using social media and youtube stuff. Then people relaxed for some time. But government started blocking VPN's which were very popular but people started using other VPn's as government was not able to block all the VPN's, so people were still using internet. 

Then, Government issued a notice asking people that they have two choices. First, You can surf 4g on whitelisted sites only. Second, we can provide 2g internet and you can use everything. Everyone liked the second option and then 2g was restored and finally people officially started using Social media and all that stuff. It was restored in the First week of march, 2020. You can imagine the condition of people of JK not having internet. 2g internet was very slow. It was joke with the people of j&k. A single page takes 5 mins to open. So overall, it was very difficult.

Then this pendemic started, CORONA. Modi ji announced lockdown in India for 21 days which was a very good step. But without internet, you are stucked in your home and there is no high speed data. You all can imagine our Condition. Days were passing and government was issuing notice that on this date, we will restore 4g. But every date was passed to next date. Till now, we cannot access 4g in whole J&K. There is a Irony, you know what, we are paying for 4g but getting 2g. Isn't ironical? There is a good news that they have started restoring 4g.

FINAL STEP? 

 Now the main Question is why Jammu? What is a link between militancy and Jammu. Jammu is always been supportive in very aspects. Whatever government said, we hear quitely and maintain peace in Jammu. There is no Stone pelter in jammu, No Millitancy, No one is brainwashing the minds of people, then why jammu? Now Government should understand that they should restore internet in Jammu and also restore internet in peaceful areas od Kashmir where the situation is safe. 

 Every thing is stopped due to such slow speed. Schools and Institutions are conducting online classes, and i want to tell the reality of those classes. Nothing is understandable. There is no clarity in voice, no clarity in video, then how will they understand. I don't know why they are conducting such online classes when OUTPUT is zero. At the end Student is suffering. Everyone cannot afford broadband or wifi's. So, Government should look at the condition of area and then should took a fare decision on this topic because this is a very major topic. 

And one more thing i want to tell you all that as we know that Supreme Court has denied our request to postpone JEE/NEET. See this is against the guidelines of MHA. If there can only be 50 members in wedding then how can you allow thousands of students in a same building. So, this is a high risk. SC should also look this seriously. So that's all for today.
